Three Generations of Woodworking. One New Chapter.

Our story with wood began long before ZIGNESS.

It started with our grandfather, who built the family woodworking business from the ground up. The workshop was later taken over by our father, and eventually by my brother, continuing a craft that had already been part of our family for generations.

But with every generation, the workshop evolved.

My brother wanted to move away from conventional particle-board furniture and on-site installations and focus more on what he genuinely enjoyed working with – solid wood. There is something different about working with a natural material. You can see its character, feel its quality, and create something that is meant to last.

At the same time, I chose to study wood science and technology, turning the craft I grew up around into my professional field as well.

Today, my brother and I work together, combining generations of practical woodworking experience with modern manufacturing, CNC technology and contemporary design.

Over the years, our workshop has also manufactured table tops and furniture components for established companies and furniture brands. Working within professional furniture production taught us the importance of precision, consistency and uncompromising quality.

ZIGNESS is the next chapter of our family story.

It is our opportunity to take everything our family has learned through generations and create products under our own name – from solid European oak and walnut to bamboo and modern HPL surfaces.

Every table top passes through our workshop and through our hands – from machining and sanding to finishing and final inspection.

We don't want to make furniture that is simply replaced when trends change. We want to make desks and table tops that feel good to use, are made from materials we believe in, and are built to stay with you for years.
